Parent Advisory Council
In an effort to raise funds for technology, reading materials, and math manipulatives for the classrooms, as well as performances and fun events throughout the school year, the parent community comes together to put on hot lunches, movie afternoons, family events, and sales of products that are thought to be of value and demand. Although the agenda was set in the fall, new ideas can be sent in throughout the year to firstname.lastname@example.org .
All of our hot lunches and movie afternoons, as well as several other events are ordered through our online system: hillside.parentcouncil.net. To register use access code HTHL. Once registered, parents can make orders, see dates and details for the year in the events calendar, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and then receive email reminders.
Volunteer opportunities are endless! Not only are volunteers appreciated, they’re also incredibly NEEDED. We literally can’t put on all the events without the help. The students truly do enjoy the hot lunches and movie afternoons, on top of the bonus that it helps raise funds for the school. No effort is too small if you’re ever able to lend a hand then please do. It’s a fantastic way to meet other Hillside parents as well!
PAC meetings are generally the 3rd Thursday of the month. Parents and guardians of Hillside students are encouraged to attend. If unable to attend, items for consideration for the agenda can be emailed to email@example.com . The meeting minutes are always available at the office, on the PAC noticeboard beside the office window for the current month, or through Mrs Fryer at the office for past months.
